Concept: this logo recognizes neotropical migratory bird species, which fly south to winter in Central and South America and then migrate north to breed in North America. The colors were inspired by the plumage of the scarlet tanager, which is brilliant red in summer and duller yellowish in winter. The symmetry of the logo is a subtle homage to the masterful work of M.C. Escher.
