My name is Scott Schiller and I am passionate about wildlife conservation and the preservation of wild places. I specialize in creating animal-themed art, not only for zoos, but for any client seeking original zoological design or illustration. As a biologist, former veterinary assistant and zookeeper, I have an exceptional understanding of animal anatomy and behavior. As a graphic designer and art director, I use my knowledge of type, color and imagery to visually communicate stories and messages.
I have devoted my life to the care of animals and the creation of art. Art and science are intertwined, and aim to use my talents to advance conservation education and a respect for the natural world. Years of hands-on experience with hundreds of zoo animals, working behind the scenes as well as in the public eye, has given me an insider's perspective on the importance of effective visual communication in educating and inspiring a public audience.
My work at ZooGraphix provides me with endless opportunities to discover new and interesting things. I have an insatiable curiosity and fascination with the natural world and I want my art to connect people with animals on an emotional level, and motivate them to want to learn more on their own.
I am also involved in other endeavors, particularly maps and pet portraits.
